Volunteer Experience
Harry Potter TCG Revival
February 2020 - July 2020
I worked as a technical editor/writer for a volunteer based team that is creating fan-made expansions for the discontinued Harry Potter Trading Card Game. Their website is here. I will be assisting on the next expansion sometime around February 2021.
- Reviewed "finalized" cards for clarity and consistency then submitted my suggested changes to the team
Motley Zoo
June 2015 - August 2017
I volunteered at Motley Zoo as a pet foster parent.
How it works:

To Get Involved (Volunteer or Foster), Click HERE.
How it works:
- The Motley Zoo is contacted by a shelter about animals in need of immediate rescue (such as when they are in danger of being euthanized).
- The Motley Zoo locates a foster home for the animal(s).
- The animal(s) is/are placed with the foster after an initial evaluation. The animal(s) is/are then spayed/neutered and any health issues are seen to. Placing an animal in a foster home as opposed to a shelter environment allows it to be socialized and have an overall better demeanor and existence.
- When the animal(s) is/are ready, they are adopted out through the Motley Zoo or placed in a partnered pet store to be adopted through there.

Whatcom Swing Event Coordinator
October 2012 - April 2013
I volunteered my services as an event planner at Whatcom Swing in Bellingham, WA until I moved out of the city. I came up with event ideas, executed them, and promoted them throughout the community. I did this to increase patronage for Whatcom Swing and to help promote dancing within the community.
Whatcom Swing was a small, local dance club ran by Brad Whidman that taught multiple styles of social dance including: East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Nightclub Two-Step, Cha Cha, and various line dances

Events of Note:
- "Have a Heart Benefit Dance," February 2013: Raised $401 for the Lighthouse Mission through a raffle. The prizes were donated by local businesses and coordinated by me. This was the most attended dance in Whatcom Swing history.
- "1920-50'S Swing Dance," January, 2013: Themed dance with 1920-50's era costumes.
- "Whatcom Swing's Ugly Christmas Sweater Dance Party," December 2012: This was a tacky sweater dance with an ugly sweater contest.
- "Whatcom Swing Halloween Bash," October 2012: This included a haunted house and food/costume contests in the downstairs area that was set up and managed by me.
